Owen LaFave
Owen LaFave serves as Pinellas County Market President for The Bank of Tampa. He leads the strategic direction of The Bank of Tampa’s Pinellas County offices, as well as the effort to expand and further develop the bank’s presence in Pinellas County. Additionally, Commercial Real Estate and Marketing fall under his leadership. Prior to his current role, Owen served as Commercial Real Estate Director where he has played a key leadership role in helping to further develop the Commercial Real Estate department by accelerating new business growth for the portfolio and further establishing the department as a key specialty area for the bank. Owen has over 20 years of experience in banking, all of which has been spent in Tampa Bay.
Owen is a graduate of the University of South Florida and holds a Bachelor of Arts in business finance. LaFave currently serves on the board of Neighborhood Lending Partners, Inc. as past chairman, the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors as the 2025 Chair-Elect and previously served as Treasurer. Other held positions include community chair for GCJFCS, chairman of the Downtown Tampa CRA Advisory Board, chairman of the Historic Preservation Commission for the City of Tampa, chapter president of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), past sponsorship chair for Leadership Tampa Alumni Association and has held board positions with the Tampa Downtown Partnership and First Housing, Inc. He was selected as an Up & Comer in the 40 under 40 category in 2016. Owen is also a graduate of Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Tampa Class of 2015. Owen LaFave is the Pinellas County Market President for The Bank of Tampa. He has over 20 years of experience in banking, all of which have been spent in Tampa Bay, and has held several prestigious positions, including the 2025 Chair-Elect of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors.
